ICT-IOC, Bhubaneswar will be celebrating the completion of 1st year. It is the beginning of the second academic year 2019-2020. The task of replicating ICT(Mumbai) in BBSR is imposing but not impossible. The journey of year inception is arduous but not insurmountable. The place is bereft of workmanship; however, the statesmanship is a part answer to infuse the culture of doable. It’s time to bring a sea change in this region by the way of infusing chemistry in everyday life of people who are otherwise the flagbearer of India’s art and culture sans ‘the elixir chemistry’. We look forward to meeting the second batch of knowledge driven young minds to boost and revere in the establishment of ICT IOC ne cesse de croitre.
Sixty students have taken admission in the first batch of the five-year integrated M. Tech in Chemical Engineering, including 15 girls. This institute will ensure improved quality of and industry relevance in curricula development in the field of chemical engineering, petrochemical, textile, polymers, foods, pharmaceutical, energy etc.” Executive M. Tech programme in chemical engineering for company professional will be started from July 2019, with an intake capacity of 30 students. Besides, these courses the institute will also cater to doctoral students in all the above mentioned disciplines. The institute will also setup a Centre of Excellence for industry-relevant research in areas like catalysis research and innovation, centre for nano-materials, carbon dioxide conversion, water resource management food processing and valorization, pharmaceutical and drug delivery, waste to wealth, public awareness for fertilizers and pesticides and alternate energy
